Dear Cupcake Gastronomes and Adventurous Bleeding Hearts,

What would you do if you could save the world one cupcake at a time?

Cupcake Mission invites you to join the quest in making life a little sweeter for a charity of YOUR choice.

The original contest has been revamped from raising money of a charity of our choosing, to raising money for a charity of YOUR choosing through cupcake fundraising events we here call “Cupcake Missions.”

This revamping allows more charities to benefit through greater audience participation, too, so
Whether you’re a cupcake maker or an individual baker, a sous chef, a head chef or even a sports ref, your altruistic spirit has a place in Cupcake Mission 2012!

After you choose your charity, organize a Cupcake Mission of your own design to raise money for your desired charity through the bake sale of cupcakes. Your own imagination for creating the event is your only limitation. In the past, bakeries have donated a portion of one day or one week of sales to a charity of our choosing and there are other ideas on the website, but there’s no frosting thick enough to keep you from taking this to a whole new level.

Email with cupcake mission in the subject line by May 31st with the amount raised and the charity benefitting. The person, group of people, or bakeshop to raise the most money will win a violin outfit (violin, case and bow) generously donated by Howard Core Company.

The winner will be announced no later than June 15th.

Never underestimate the power of a cupcake!

Happy Spring,
Meg Weidner
